2. UKM: My Campus Adventures
A collection of my favourite spots in UKM where I study, relax, hang out with friends, and create unforgettable memories throughout my university journey.
1. PUSANIKA – The Heart of Student Life
If there is one place in UKM where students from different faculties come together, it would definitely be PUSANIKA. This is usually my go-to place whenever I need a meal, a cup of coffee, or simply a place to relax between classes.
What makes PUSANIKA special is the variety of facilities and vendors available under one roof. Students can find popular outlets such as ZUS Coffee, Tealive, Emart, and many other food vendors offering different types of meals and beverages. Whether I am looking for breakfast before class, lunch with friends, or a quick coffee to stay awake during assignment season, PUSANIKA always has something to offer.
Besides food and beverages, PUSANIKA also houses an esports centre, making it a popular gathering spot for students who enjoy gaming and digital entertainment. The lively atmosphere and constant flow of students make it one of the most vibrant places on campus.
2. Faculty of Economics and Management (FEP), Where My UKM Journey Began
The Faculty of Economics and Management holds a special place in my heart because this is where my UKM journey truly began. As a student pursuing my degree under this faculty, I have spent countless hours attending lectures, participating in discussions, completing assignments, and preparing for examinations.
More importantly, FEP is where I met many of my classmates and friends who have shared the same academic journey with me. Throughout the semesters, we have worked together on group assignments, exchanged ideas, and supported one another through various academic challenges.
The faculty is also where I had the opportunity to learn from experienced lecturers who continuously encourage students to think critically and broaden their understanding of economics and management. Every classroom, lecture hall, and discussion session has contributed to my growth as both a student and an individual. For these reasons, FEP will always be one of the most meaningful places in UKM for me.
3. UKM Swimming Complex, A Place to Recharge
University life can sometimes become hectic, especially when balancing classes, assignments, examinations, and personal commitments. Whenever I need a break from academic responsibilities, the UKM Swimming Complex is one of my favourite places to visit.
Swimming is an excellent form of exercise that helps me stay active while reducing stress. The swimming complex provides a comfortable environment where students can focus on their fitness and well-being. Spending time in the pool allows me to clear my mind, improve my physical health, and return to my studies feeling refreshed.
What I appreciate most about the swimming complex is that it offers a healthy balance between academic life and personal wellness. It reminds me that university is not only about achieving good grades but also about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Studying at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) has given me the opportunity to explore many interesting places around campus. Over time, certain locations have become more than just buildings or facilities, they have become part of my university experience. Among the many places in UKM, these are three of my favourites.
Conclusion
Each of these places represents a different aspect of my university experience. PUSANIKA reflects the social and everyday student life of UKM, the Faculty of Economics and Management represents my academic journey and personal growth, while the UKM Swimming Complex highlights the importance of health and recreation. Together, these places have made my time at UKM both memorable and meaningful.
